I was born with what I feel is a mild case of Poland Syndrome, but I am missing a right pectoral muscle. This is pretty common in males with Poland Syndrome. I looked at several options, including an implant to correct the asymmetry on the right side of my chest. A much needed reduction due to constant back pain . I've never felt this good about myself. My tops fit better, no bulging buttons, in fact I had to go buy smaller sizes. Since I'm diabetic I knew it might take longer to heal. I did get an infection and had an open wound , it was a large scar and I opted to have it recut and it is perfect.
I was tired of the way my breast would hang and look and give me a heavier appearance. I wanted implants because I was sure that would be needed to give me the full high perky breast look I was wanting. I researched plastic surgeons in my area and found Dr Gayoso.. He was knowledgable and discussed my options and I decided on just a breast lift with no implants. After having feeding tube for 5 months due to throat cancer, the scar looked like a 2nd belly button. Now after 6 weeks following surgery i can see that i will have a fine line that will probably be almost invisible. I am very glad i did it. Looking at the scar was a reminder of the cancer every time i got dressed.
Dr. Gayoso and staff are incredible! Without this practice's straight-talk, supportiveness, availability and superlative work, I'm not sure what I would have done. Having breast cancer was one of the biggest emotionally and physically challenging times of my life and this practice's approach to my care was a godsend. As far as the reconstruction itself, Dr. Gayoso is an ARTIST! I feel I was in the best hands possible for my reconstruction and for that, I'm very grateful.
I had a breast implant which ruptured and was very contracted. It was placed many years ago following a mastectomy. I contacted Dr. Gayoso's office because of the discomfort and was treated very kindly and efficiently by his staff. I was soon scheduled for two surgeries, one for the removal of the old implant and placement of an expander, and the second later one for placement of a new implant. I am happy with the results and appearance. I highly recommend Dr. Gayoso and his staff.
Today I had my Pre OP for surgery in approx. 2 weeks from now. I'm so anxious to get the surgery and was amazed by my doctors explanation of almost every step of the surgery.
