I visited Dr. Kartalian for the first time on 27 January 2016. It was an excellent experience. I had a broken foot from the week before. Dr. Kartalian and his staff, including his nurse Tori, were professional, knowledgeable, courteous, and efficient. The visit was an excellent experience and I highly recommend Dr. Kartalian to family and friends without any reservations.
Dr. Kartalian has the potential to be a courteous and inclusive provider, but his dismissive and patronizing manners prevent him from becoming the empathetic and great listener he could be. The practice has other orthopedic doctors with better bedside manners. I highly recommend those.
Quite possibly THE worst doctor I've ever seen. This guy had zero interest in anything I had to say. He talked over me and was very condescending. He asked me questions but instead of listening to my answers he asked more questions. He seems to love hearing himself talk. What a total waste of time. He was more interested in getting me out the door than he was in diagnosing me. He said several times about how the average patient needs X and Y treatments, so he decided I was simply average. When I told him we were done and I was leaving, he then spoke down to me. I would not recommend this doctor to anyone. He may be talented, but I'll never know. He couldn't be bothered to spend the time to demonstrate that.
I was extremely disappointed with my office visit. Dr. Kartalian BARELY examined my foot and then diagnosed it as Metararsal Stress Fracture. I had knee replacement surgery and now have nerve damage on the bottom of my foot. i thought as a specialist, he would have given me a more thorough examination. I'm so tired of these doctors who send you for so many tests, I would not recommend him to anyone.
