No organization and a huge safety risk for dealing with such large crowds. The whole bag issue was ridiculous and could have been better planned. Thought it was ridiculous the upper decks were closed with the weather being what it was. Security could have better communicated with people and immediately removed problem individuals instead of allowing them to continue to show out with such a huge crowd. In my experience, they should have been removed or taken aside to a safe location. If anything were to happen, the guard woul... read more
I attended the US women's soccer game. The game itself was a good game, but it was obvious that the management of the dome was cutting corners in order to save expenses. There was only one gate open, so the wait to get in was longer than reasonable. Bags weren't allowed in, and there was no signage and very little warning that this was the case. One of the barbecue restaurants was out of...barbecue. Luckily the other one had barbecue chicken (although they were out of pork). All in all, it seemed like the dome really didn't ... read more
My only complaint about the USA soccer game. If you make announcements that the doors open at 5:30 you should actually open them at 5:30.
We enjoyed being able to attend the USA women's soccer game; however, the experience at the Dome was disappointing to say the least! They had a skeletal staff working the game. Because of this, we experienced long lines and had to maneuver large crowds at the entry gates (very few were open). This was an event with a large number of children and the conditions were not up to my safety standards. In addition, the club level also provided very limited concessions. Though the staff members present were professional and helpful ... read more
The Dome was awesome especially since it was raining outside and the game was in door. The field was a soccer field for the national game with no football markings. I didn't like that it took forever to get checked in so they had to push the time back. There were lots of vendors so no super long lines ... and the attendants were all really nice and helpful! Parking is terrible but that's to be excepted! Over all it was worth the trip!
Overall really enjoyed the USWNT soccer match. Biggest difficulty was getting in. There were only a few gates open and so lines to get in were exceptionally long. Exacerbated because it was raining. The staff that were there were very nice and as helpful however. Concessions were limited so lines were very long as well.
We came to watch the women's soccer game against the Netherlands and it was a great game. The only issue we had is that we were standing in line to buy beer during half time and then one of the staff workers came by and said we couldn't buy any beer, because they were instructed to stop selling it. The people in front of us were able to buy it, but they wouldn't sell it to us. It was our first beer of the night, but some reason, they said they were no longer selling it. Very disappointing, indeed.
