I am disabled and had to leave my bag at World Congress Center and walk to GA dome quite a ways away with a 3 and 5 yr old. Paid $20 to park under World Congress Center for handicapped accessibility and they let us out at Gate D and by the time I got back to my car after getting my purse my fitness tracker said I had walked 2.75 miles. The long walk in the cold triggered my 5 yr old daughter to have an asthma attack and we spent to night in Hughes Spalding Children's Hospital. Always loved (love) events at the dome. Sure am glad I was able to attend the last concert to be held here. (Winterjam 2017) parking cost was ridiculous but expected for a event in ATL ($10 to get into event but $20 to park is just crazy) sure am gonna miss the GA Dome but looking forward to new memories at Mercedes Benz Stadium!!!
I'm a police officer and the Ga Dome is one of the few places in the whole country that I can't carry my gun off duty.
Not sure why so much negative stuff, I have been to the Georgia Dome a few times went last summer to a concert I had checked about what to take in the clear bag policy I think is a good idea just a clear gallon size Ziploc bag is fine so Necessities can be carried in no guns people should check before going to any event at a huge place just to know then there are no surprises and it would have been easier to take your purse back to your vehicle and walk back with their clear bag they furnish instead of trying to get out quic... read more
