Coming from the North From US 15 in PA: Take Steinwehr Avenue Exit (Steinwehr Avenue is also Business Route 15, but do NOT exit on Business Route 15 before Steinwehr Avenue). Bear right off exit. Follow Steinwehr Avenue towards Gettysburg for approximately 3 miles. Look for Gettysburg Battlefield Resort entrance on your right. Coming from the South From US 15 in PA: Take Steinwehr Avenue Exit (Steinwehr Ave is also Business Route 15, and is the first possible exit north of the Maryland/Pennsylvania border). Bear left off the exit. Follow Steinwehr Avenue towards Gettysburg for approximately 3 miles.

In the heart of the Battlefield....BOOM!
This resort is well placed and easy access to the Gettysburg battlefield. Calm and relaxed place, unless a 'reenactment' is taking place on the property! Great amenities and a wonderful staff. The bathrooms are clean and it is relaxing to make a fire and just chill.

Girls Weekend
This is my 3rd time coming here for Girls Weekend and the cabins are so cozy. I look forward to weekend retreat every year. It’s so accommodating and love going into town. This is our first weekend getaway during christmas.

nice campground
There is plenty of shady campsites. the staff were very helpful. try to book in advance and use the campground site map to pick your choice of site. some sites are very close together.but all are maintained very well

Lovely campground
Located inside the battlefield, you cannot find a nicer campground that is closer to the historic battlefield. The amenities are excellent, and plenty of space between sites. More important, there are no "residents" of the campground, so youcan know that everyone is also on vacation.

Gettysburg, Pa.
This was our first Coast to Coast affiliated Campground visit. Gettysburg Battlefield Resort was a very nice campground. The site we were assigned was very small and close to a well traveled road. It was very noisy with all the cars on the road. There were other sites that were much nicer but I’m sure they were being saved for their members being this was a “home park” for members. Since our trip was October 1-5, the pool was closed. It looked beautiful from outside the fence. They also had a “catch and release” pond to fish in. Leveling was a little challenging as our site wasn’t level. It had a very nice dog park. My only complaint was the staff wasn’t very friendly and the WiFi stunk!! There is no cable for regular TV Viewing but we were able to get quite a few channels with our antenna. When I called the office about the WiFi, the young man who answered said he knew the WiFi was awful because the equipment is old and needs updated. The other campers we talked to were VERY friendly and welcoming. All in all, we enjoyed our visit.

Some good, some bad
Pros: Campground is nice. Quiet and lots of trees. RV sites are not level in most spots that I’ve seen. We arrived late-ish and were greeted by very friendly people who showed us to our site. Later, they delivered firewood - the first easy burning batch we’ve had all camping season (there’s been a ton of rain). Proximity to the Gettysburg battlefield can’t be beat. Camp store is cute but predictably expensive. Dog run is nice, big with some agility equipment. Cons: people in the site next to us were talking loudly, dropping the “f” word constantly, until a few mins after quiet hours. We have young kids and this was uncomfortable. I didn’t want to call because we are in an area where they would know it was us and I don’t need any trouble. WiFi stinks! In this day and age, every campground should have useable WiFi, at least for surfing. I’m trying to get homework done and it’s not happening. Our kids were bullied tonight while they were playing. One kids came up and started causing trouble. We just removed them from the situation as there were no adults around. Finally people don’t pick up their dog’s poop. Seems to be an epidemic at every campground. Overall a nice place to visit with another family for the weekend but I won’t rush to come back.

July 4th visit
Entrance guard was professional and did all the items for check-in. The resort has some paved and some gravel roads. Even though the weather was unseasonably hot and dry, it was not dusty. The staff is friendly and helpful. There were alot of activities scheduled during our stay and the information was given to us when we checked in. The pool is large and kept clean. Of the TRA resorts that we have stayed at, this is the best.A little over half the sites are full hook up, we were gifted to have one of them. We will definitely return.
