I just moved to Ridgewood and we noticed that our drains were clogged. We called Green Appple and they arrived within 45 minutes. After an hour trying to snake the pipe, they called in for back up to get a longer snake. The longer snake worked, but they suspected that it wasnt my problem, but that the city sewer was backing up. They looked in the sewer cap in the street and told me to call the DPW right away. They stayed here waiting for the DPW to show for over an hour. Only a few days after calling Green Apple for water heater service (see my previous story), I got major problems due to clogged sewer line causing basement flood ... The supposed to be "sewer line specialist" I tried, not only left partial blockage but also took advantage on the overnight emergency situation with absurd charge. When I called that guy back the 2nd day, he started talking about water jetter, sewer camera inspection ... trying to further ripping me off.
