Food was okay. I had high hopes for the chicken/noodle over mashed potatoes based on the photos and a friend's recommendation for another Grindstone location. Sadly, noodles waaay overcooked and in very tiny pieces. But the flavor was good, so I enjoyed it more as a creamy soup over potatoes. Upstairs decor is so boring and the entire floor shakes EVERY time their main door opens/closes. So that was unsettling. We will go back. I have hopes to enjoy the bar area, which looked much more inviting and entertaining.

The service and food were impeccable. It was chilly in the bar due to being over the cold air return. Our waitress did lean a menu up against the floorboard to divert some of the cold air. It was also very loud at first. One of the bar patrons was a very loud talker and the acoustics are not good with keeping that noise down. Otherwise a great evening!!

Always have a good experience at Grindstone Public house. Food was excellent, didn't have to wait long for dinner. Service was great.

First time in restaurant but will definitely be back soon. Had the scallops that were cooked perfectly with a light sauce but wrapped in bacon for extra flavor. The accompanying baked potato was also cooked just right and finished with a light coleslaw. Date had the salmon which she thought was also perfect. The service was great and the food was amazing. Highly recommend this place.
First time there and not sure what to order. Asked server for recommendations and she said “there’s a lot, I don’t know.” (Uuummm not helpful.) Food was good and I may go back based on that. But it was way too loud. I feel like they need to figure out how to dampen the noise a bit as it was hard to enjoy our meal.
The service is really hit and miss in this establishment. The food is/ was very tasty and most of the dinner plates are a decent value. I ordered an Old Fashioned, and the bartender smashed the lemon slice so severely that the drink was terrible, due to lemon pulp floating through every drink I took. Overall, nice local lunch/dinner spot!
We have gone to Grindstone a number of times and have always enjoyed the food and the staff is excellent. The fried chicken salad is my go to dish and it is amazing. My wife loves both the salad and the whiskey chicken.
