We recently dined at the Grindstone Public House during the week. The staff was attentive and paced our dinner at a relaxed rate, which we made clear was our desire. The menu is typical American fare and offers a wide enough selection for most diners. The wine list is less extensive, but it offers a varied selection of moderately priced wines by the glass and/or bottle. Our food was well prepared. Our desserts were tasty, but following the trend in Indiana, way too large. I recommend this established without hesitation.
I love that downtown Noblesville has yet another great place to eat. The interior of Grindstone is cool, the service is great, and the food is fabulous. I highly recommend the fried green tomatoes and the fish tacos . . . with a craft beer!
Nicely remodeled historic building. Food was excellent. The waiter claimed they had the best tenderloin in Hamilton Co. He was 100% correct! Also, had the fried green tomatoes and they were excellent as well. Huge portions, great food, laid back casual atmosphere. Great bar area.
Maybe.Nice variety of food. Atmosphere is excellent, the building is beautiful. Our waitress was good. However, one of our entrees did not come out until 10 minutes after the others. We asked for a manager, he said they had to make sure it was cooked? It was just a chicken sandwich. He said he would comp it but when the bill came, he had not. We paid for it. We we were over it and did not want to make a scene. Not sure if we will go back.
Ambience on the upper floor is lacking but still a great meal
Business response:
Hi, Jennifero. These words go a long way, it motivates us to work even harder, thank you for the review!
Reservations are necessary on Saturday night, so I'm glad we made one. My food was tasty. My husband's steak was undercooked and they didn't offer to cook another one correctly for him, which amazed me for the price. They did give us a free piece of cake. Service was a bit slow at times but professional. Overall, I will go back at lunch with a girlfriend and try other items that looked good. My husband won't go back.
Amazing as always! Great breaded tenderloin!
First time coming here and I was very pleased with the overall experience. Having a reservation at 7PM on a Friday was a smart choice, and we were seated immediately soon arrival. The staff and food were great, but it was very loud and hard to hear our group, other than that, no complaints. Definitely reccommend this place.
The staff was really great. The drinks horrible. The restaurant was much louder than expected. The food was pretty good but because of overall experience, won’t be returning.
