Nice restaurant. The food was delicious ,oysters and grits . A salad to start . The room is extremely noisy and I'm sure it would have been worse if we had come later when full . Despite all of this I would certainly return . Maybe they could consult with environmental people and cut down the decibels with rug ceiling damping ,etc.
We made a reservation but when we arrived we were told we had to be put on a waitlist because Open Table didn't know how many tables they had. Not sure if they are not properly integrated with Open Table, but it was frustrating.
Been here several times and always have a very good experience. Food is consistently great and service is good.
Made a reservation for 7:15pm on a Friday. Arrived and we were left waiting for the hostess. When she finally arrived we were told, "I'm so sorry, we don't have any tables available. It will be 15-20 minutes." We're like...WTF?! Decided to wait because...we had a sitter. Place was slammed, and the 3 parties who walked in behind us were told the same thing. Excellent experience and service and that we fully anticipated.
Restaurant nearly empty but was seated in what I presume is the worst table directly in the traffic near the entrance, exit despite a reservation. The restaurant is too dark at night. It’s difficult to read the menu and I had to actually turn the light on my iPhone in order to read it, the candle was not enough. That said, this is a very nice restaurant and always an enjoyable visit.
We were seated on their heated patio which is a nice space but there were a group of people at the table next to us who were speaking so loudly we couldn’t hear ourselves think and the music that was playing overhead was loud, unpleasant, and made the whole dining experience and the noise level worse. What’s wrong with restaurants today that they can’t have lovely intimate music so people can have a lovely intimate evening and not be blasted out.
Haven is the perfect restaurant for a special occasion.
