I love this clinic! I have taken my cats there for years and find the medical competency and care to be exceptional. They go above and beyond in all quarters.(Excuse the pun). I drive some distance just to continue taking my pets here!
My cats have been cared for at Heartland for many years. We've had excellent care from the vets here at all times. They're more expensive than other vets, but we know Dr. Bill, Dr. Gary & Dr. Sarah, along with their whole staff, truly care for our pets as much as we do.
What a great place! Our 7-year old Shiba Inu has NEVER liked getting groomed and has always thrown a full on tantrum when we dropped her off at other places. We dropped her off for the first time at The Hairy Sofa & not a peep from her. She looked, felt, and smelled so great when we picked her up. We'll definitely be back!
It is one of the nicest clinics I have walked into. I love that the waiting area is equipped with beverages and goodies for both me and my pets. The receptionists are friendly and acknowledge I'm there as soon as I walk in the door. I first started coming to Heartland because I saw their sign driving to and from work. I was new to the area and thought I would give it a try. I'm so glad I did! I had just gotten a puppy and brought him in for his first visit. They gave me a price sheet so I knew exactly what to expect c... read more
I've been taking my Newfoundland mix, Toby, to Play and Stay for almost two years. I've also boarded him with them numerous times. Toby always loves to go to Play and Stay, even after being boarded for a week, which I think speaks volumes about the care he receives. I've boarded animals in the past and if they didn't like the place, you can hardly get them in the door when they go back. Toby comes home tired and calm after a day at Play and Stay, and he is wonderfully socialized to other dogs. He's never incurred any i... read more
I am writing this review primarily for the doggie daycare portion of the animal hospital. I take my little Staffordshire Terrier Layla there weekly. She goes and always has a blast. It is great since the play n stay staff have activities for the dogs and take great care of the animals while they are there. If it wasn't for the play and stay I don't know how else I would have managed to get Layla socialized. I have had limited contact with the Veternarian staff, however they have been courteous and helpful with their adv... read more
Cant give a 0, I guess. My dog died after being given medication. She was probably MDR1 and vet had been told that she was very sensitive to meds and had seizures. He said, white feet, dont treat. However they gave her a med for bladder treatment and she died within a few days. The worst part is that I went back several times and with 3 vets they should have determined that the med was killing her. Last time I took her in, I thought they were giving her IV's as she was dehydrated. Hours later they ask if I wanted to... read more
Had an emergency with my Goldendoodle on 10.10.2022. Logically I called his vet at 6:00 PM asking if I could bring him to be seen. He had a bone stuck around his bottom jaw and his tongue was also trapped. I thought he would drown due to his saliva flow which was like a faucet. Heartland Animal Hospital told me they could not see my furbaby. I was reminded that they close at 7:00 PM and they could not see my baby! I said it was 6:00 PM the lady on the phone said what do you want me to do! I said you can see my dog. The respo... read more
I dread taking my dog to the vet because she is a very scared and reactive dog to people and EVERY time I have taken my dog I have received glares and comments about how much she barks. They are not patient with "misbehaved" dogs at all. They seem to only really like dogs that have no issues with behavior. The doctors are extremely nice but the vet techs are not very kind and are impatient. When I first got her I had to go back 3 separate times just for a nail trim. The second time I went back I was lectured because I didn't... read more
