Artificial taste I’m giving this seasoning a 2 because, the taste of the artificial apple taste. It really over powers everything else that is in the rub. I was really disappointed in this. I LOVE everything else from them I have tried. But, this one is just so bad of a taste for me.
Its sad but true. Why did you pick this product vs others?:I would have liked to have tried it, but it arrived open and all the seasoning was in the bottom of the package.
It's mostly M.S.G. - nothing special about the spices. Of course people are going to think it tastes good if one of the main ingredients is MSG!A flavoring product worth putting in your body should be able to stand on its own without needing to resort to brain-chemical trickery. I did wonder why there weren't any clear images of the ingredients, but it's my fault for trusting that Heath wouldn't stoop to such a poor quality tactic. Extremely potent, but definitely a smoked apple flavor I think this product is for bacon that's being cured.I've poured about 2-3 tbsp in a bowl, then added my seasonings for ribs, and it almost ruined my meat. I will try to use it with a brine, the next time. I'm sure it'll work better brining chicken, turkey, or pork. But not as a rub
MSG Tastes great because it contains MSG. I think this should have been more clear. I’m allergic to that so I can’t use it.
Warning !!! Contains MSG!! Buyer Beware!!After seeing one of Heaths videos I was impressed and bought this product. To my extreme dismay I looked at the ingredients and saw that half way down the list there is MSG which has been proven to give health problems in many people. This substance is used to stretch ingredients and save costs greatly. 2.0 out of 5 stars Very disappointing I didn't think I would like Cherry Rub on my BBQ, but I gave Three Little Pigs brand "Touch of Cherry" a try and it was surprisingly good. I liked it on my pork loins and even tried it on my brisket. I was very pleased with it. I decided to give this one a try since Heath Riles is all over YouTube and has a lot of followers. I tried this, and its flavor was just *meh* at best. I don't recommend this rub.
