Horrible! Dr. Maurer doesn't listen to his patients. My dad was allergic to Rituxan AND HE KEPT GIVING IT TO HIM! My dad also has a severe form of Von Willibrand's Disease that went UNDIAGNOSED by Dr. Maurer. And when my dad was at his sickest, Dr. Maurer went on vacation and left no other Dr in charge of him!! Thank God for better Oncologists/Hematologists like Central VA Cancer Specialists!!!
My mom had ovarian cancer and passed away in December. Dr. Mauer was her oncologist. He was awesome her first go around with chemo, then she was in remission. Her second go around not so much. She went through one round of chemo and then had a surgery where they burned off tumors on her liver. He didn't start her chemo again for 3 months. She had a CT scan before he started her again, then she had one chemo every 3 weeks. She only got to have one treatment and a month later she died.
