We took my dog Gidget in on Monday morning because she was breathing rapidly, panting, I noticed her abdomen seemed hard, and she was very lethargic. They had her in their care for 8 hours and only did X-rays and blood work after she had already been there for several hours. Update: I just had a call from Mary (Senior Hospital Manager), and she couldn't have been nicer. She'd been on vacation and apologized both for my experiences and for not learning about the situation sooner. We were able to come to a resolution with billing, and she also said she'd be following up with staff regarding the issues I'd seen. I really appreciated our conversation - thank you, Mary. This place is great with the pets but will rape you financially. Do not pay their in store prices on anything - their website is much cheaper and the office manager has absolutely no compunction about charging more than customers need to pay. Any other retailer would understand that a sale that begins 1 day after a purchase is made should be honored and issue a credit to the account at the least, if not refunding the difference outright directly to the customer. It takes a lot for me to post a negative review, but I just have to in this case. My lab was experiencing urination issue and was wetting in her crate. Took her in and they did the cursory 5 minute exam and then tried to get some urine thru ultrasound. She didn't have any so they sent me home with a collection kit. They lack personal service so much so that when you sign up for their Paw Plan as a way to be a responsible pet parent, you only receive service reminders via email and physical mail. Dr. Davis has been Sydney's and Biscuit's vet since they were puppies . . . Sydney is now 11. We are always appreciative of his care and advise as well as that of his staff. We have actually been with Hendrick's Vet since the early 1980's. Always a wonderful experience!
I've taken my dog there for a few years for her seizures hoping she would get quality care. As time has gone by her seizures are still just as regular as the first day I took her in. When you pay a vet and a pharmacy a few thousand dollars in almost 4 years one would think my dog wouldn't suffer so much.
