Stuart Mermelstein took on my son’s case 6 months before the NY victim act came into place. In that time he did absolutely nothing but make empty promises. Once the Act was passed he was impossible to reach by phone or email. He retraumatized the victim by promising to write a letter to the school my son was abused in. Week after week I explained to him that my son was having a hard time reliving that time in his life and was seeking closure through legal means.
