Dr. McDaniel has been my doctor for over 25 years. He delivered all 3 of my children, 2 by c-section. He has always taken the time to answer my questions and concerns. I have never experienced a problem with him. I'm appalled by some of these reviews because they definitely do not describe Dr. McDaniel.

Dr. McDaniel is one of the best Dr's/surgeon's I have been to. He is prompt. He gave me a drawing of exactly what would be repaired. He made sure that I understood everything. I am lucky to have been referred to this outstanding physician.
liked the doctor to start with but you can not call his office without getting voicemail. They state it will take 24-48 hours to call back. There is never a call back. I've called 4 times. I have left written messages on his internet platform 3 times and no response. It is as if he dissappeared. On our phone appointment (after the in-person), before ever addressing the issue I came in he talked about a hormone imbalance and said he would prescribe some but hormones but he never wrote the prescriptions. Saw this doctor who the PA Lorraine asked me to see . His name is Dr. Rex Herman McDaniel at the urologic institute in Apple Valley. CA back in March 2025. Boy was he absolutely rude, condescending, arrogant and extremely disrespectful. A real piece of work, He also seemed a little strange if you know what I mean by that. Gave me the creeps. Never Again.
Doctor Mc Daniels had a very cavalier attitude regarding my urgent referral, he made unexceptable remarks regarding my anticipated surgery and his staff followed suit with no concern or contact whatsoever about scheduling me on the calendar. I would have died waiting to hear back from my many attempts to contact the “scheduler”. In my best health interest I chose not to return to this gynecologist, Dr. Mc Daniel’s, in Palm Desert, California.
I have never had a painful Pap Smear; this was the exception. It was very uncomfortable but Dr. McDaniel persisted even though he acknowledged that he was hurting me. He prescribed a Controlled Substance for pain without cautioning me that it is a Controlled Substance and addictive. I would never return to this Practice.
We have decided to pursue treatment at UCLA Medical Center for my 84 year old mother who was diagnosed with a prolapsed bladder by her regular doctor. After seeing Dr. McDaniel we realized we needed a medical team who would examine her thoroughly, take the time to answer questions and explain options. Luckily we are now able to take a more measured approach (vs immediate surgery), even if we are driving 3 hours.
