The Heron Club has provided my nanny with the relaxation and comfort she deserves. Pleasingly mixed in with soothing surroundings are daily activities to get her motivated and keep her active. The staff is second to none and know all of their residents and their families. Each resident enjoys private living space with on demand assistance at the touch of a button. We could not be happier with Heron Club.
Amazing staff, friendly and courteous. [Name removed] really cares about the residents.
The people I met during my tour were nice and knowledgeable. The apartments at Herron Club Prestancia were not as big as the facility my brother chose. This community seemed clean.
My parents are really enjoying their time here at this community. They both are doing very well, and I'am very pleased with all they have done for us. My father says he hasn't had a bad meal yet. Everything is working very well, and I would highly recommend this community. My parents are pleased.
We chose the Heron Club at Prestancia for my Mom after touring about eight communities. It is a nice sized facility, large enough to have amenities but not so big that my Mom felt lost when she moved in. The Marketing Director, Pennie [Removed], was very helpful with our tour, answering all our questions about the Heron Club, and facilitating Mom's move in. We worked with Heron Club briefly while looking into care options for a loved one. I didn't ever get the chance to visit the facility, but I was very impressed by how eager, friendly, and helpful the people that I spoke to on the phone were!
My husband was in this facility for one-month and he hated it. On his first night, his room was cold and no one checked on him. The thermostat did not work and no one showed him how to work the wall heater. I never saw the director of nursing check on him the whole time he was there. (It seems like the” assisted “ living was in name only). His TV was not hooked up for over a week because the maintenance man was out for medical reasons and there was no substitute. The toilet was dirty when he moved in and we had to get someon... read more
They have had challenges with staffing. The food is really bad, and the chef left. They need to improve on communication, and letting the residents know when something is not working. Management is not always available. The food needs to improve, and they need to add more protein, and offer better options.
We had a horrible experience. Stay away - they do nothing. It's a low functioning group All they do is sit and sleep in front of a TV set.
