Paid over $700 when my dog had a miscarriage. Brought her home and her stitches were already coming out. By day 3 her stitches were almost completely out. She did not move hardley at all except to use the restroom and would not eat. Out of concern we took her back to the vet and they had to put her stitches in again and quoted us $250 but when we picked her up it was $406. Ridiculous! Will not be back!

I called because my dog had blood in his stool. They told me to get there as soon as possible because it was almost closing time. I told them it would take me at least 15 minutes to get there. I left immediately and when I arrived there was no one at the front desk. Waited. She came out of the back waited on a different customer then asked me what I needed. When I told her she told me it was to late. They refused me after I rushed there and were very rude about it. I take all my dogs there but I will not be back. Very unpro... read more

We took our dog there for excessive throwing up they did some X-rays and said that our dog had bloat and he needed emergency surgery that cost $1,300 we paid for the surgery and they promised us that the dog would be fine the dog is no better and he was when we took him in matter of fact he's worse he's lost about 20 pounds and now has lost his will to eat and drink we fear he may be dying Hillcrest says that they will not do a follow-up without us paying for it it will not see the dog without as paying for it every vet that... read more

We are sorry you feel you had a poor experience at Hillcrest. We always strive to give the very best care and customer service to our clients. Given other positive comments from our customers, we feel we achieve this daily. While we do not want to get into a Facebook argument, we just want to note that there are always two sides to every story and unfortunately there are never guaranteed outcomes in any medical field. We value feedback, positive or negative. It only helps us serve our valued customers even better! We w... read more

Used hillcrest for years with no problems. Now they refuse to give heart worm prevention without making u do a yearly visit so they can get more money out of you. Then when u complain they block u and delete your comment off their Facebook so no one else knows the poor service they give you. I’ll be switching to a new vet.

Will never use them ever. Not after what happened with my moms dog. She came home with a ton of fleas. And they were mutant fleas that were immune to every kind of flea medication or flea bomb even happy jack didnt kill them. Unless you want a flea problem for months on end and your ankles being swollen because of the butt load of flea bits on your ankles and legs. Do not go there I repeat do not use Hillcrest animal hospital for anything.

Business response:

In response to your other comment and review. Unfortunately, it appears you are mistaken. We have checked our system and we don't see that you have ever had a female dog come here or have surgery at our facility. Also in relation to the original review, it takes 10-14 days for tapeworms to be visible after flea ingestion which means the pet was exposed prior to boarding.

It's pretty bad when this place tries to charge you $44 for worming while your pet is being boarded there AND WITHOUT CONTACTING ME FIRST. And now having to treat for fleas that my dog didn't have prior to boarding. Not paying the money since I now have to spend money trying to get rid of a horrible case of fleas!
