Great local guide
Our party of 3 went out with Capt T and had a great time. He grew up in the area and puts you on fish. He made it very fun and was concerned with our safety and comfort. We caught a few trout and so many redfish that we lost count.

Good location, great bikes and friendly staff
We were looking to hire bicycles with brakes and gears rather than the more common cruiser option. We visited the company’s web site saw they offered what we wanted and popped along on a Tuesday afternoon. Met by very polite and helpful staff member who dealt with our enquiry very quickly and efficiently. Then outside to where another member of staff had some bikes ready for us to try for size and take for quick test ride. Both were Cannondale models in very good condition, gear change mechanisms were smooth, tyres in excellent condition, as were the brakes. Bikes were delivered within an hour or two as promised to our apartment about 4 miles from the shop.
Initially a three day hire we extended the for an extra day and again the staff member with whom we dealt was friendly and very efficient.
We had great time biking around Hilton Head Island, the trails made it very safe compared with our normal experiences of London roads.
Overall an excellent experience, if you want/prefer a bike with gears– ours had 21 – and brakes in excellent condition, and with great service then we can highly recommend this company to you.

Best Bikes
We stayed at the Hilton Head Marriott & took the short walk over to Hilton Head Outfitters to rent a bike. The staff is universally friendly, helpful, & committed to your complete satisfaction. They suggested a Unisex Beach cruiser which had just been purchased from a Taiwan company. The bike was smooth, easy to use, & perfect for both the trails & beach. One day rental was only $5 more than a half day, quite a deal. The staff also provides an excellent bike trail map with suggestions of where to go. I was completely unaware that there is a underground route that goes below 278 connecting Palmetto Dunes with Shelter Cove. When it comes to bike trails, Hilton Head is supreme in my opinion & Hilton Head Outfitters has the bikes to take full advantage of this great resource.

3 Hour Inshore Fishing w/ Captain Trent
Hooked up with Captain Trent for a fishing charter on my daughter's 12th birthday. Great boat. Great captain. Great time. Trent was perfect. He knows where the fish are and we caught a lot of them. He's also a sensational photographer. We caught a ton of redfish and came home with great memories and spectacular photos.

Turnkey bikes
A local recommended this bike outfitter. They have a website that I used Thanksgiving evening that allowed me to order 10 bikes for the next morning. They delivered them to our VRBO early the next morning then picked them up 3 days later. Easy peasy.

Kayaking on the Lagoons
Probably the most peaceful and beautiful kayaking we’ve done so far. Easy launch and return system - very calm waters - beautiful birds - friendly staff.

Best Birthday Party Ever
Byron and his team did a "surf birthday party" for my 8 year old son and his friends. Every kid left saying that it was the best birthday party that they have ever been to. We will definitely do it again.

“Fried Combo Platter” with Native Son Adventures
We’ve been coming to Hilton Head for years- but this year was a trip of a lifetime thanks to Native Son Adventures. Our 8 year old daughter (still in a cast from a recent surgery on her hand and with her doctor’s blessing) took her first surf lesson. She had the time of her life! It was well done from start to finish and included water safety and conservation. It was so fun we booked a fishing/treasure hunting trip the very next day! With the guidance of Capt. Cory, our 4 year old and 8 year old daughters caught a bull shark, and 3 sting rays. We also spotted dolphins, a manatee, and found several sharks teeth and seashells on our own “private island.” We are already dreaming about our next adventure with Native Son!
