Hudson’s Bay is one of the few department stores to survive the implosion of several large department stores in the last few years. I’m not sure how, although the clothing and accessories that Hudson’s Bay has are good quality they are also quite pricey. They do have lots of sales. The store is well lit and clean but very dated. I have been to several Hudson’s Bay’s in the Edmonton area and they are all the same, somewhat dated, good selection of products and pricey. Yesterday, I walked into the north doors of HB to look for a clothing item for my daughter. Within 2 min, I was greeted by a well-dressed gentleman who directed me to a polite and helpful girl. When I was done my shopping, I noticed a bathroom not far from the entrance I walked in from. The smell at the urinal was so bad that I held my breath and got out as quickly as I could. For such a nice store, you would think the bathrooms would be kept clean. I haven't seen an unkept washroom like this in a long time. Cheers.

Spent an hour trying on pants for sizes that fit me properly from various 30% of racks. When it came time to pay, 2/3 items were full price. Apparently the fine print on the signs say "excludes items ending with $XX.99". If you want to play games with your advertised prices, your fate is sealed to follow in the footsteps of Sears. NO SALE!

Tried calling various departments in the St Albert store. No one ever answers the phone including customer service. I don't want to chance going in if you don't have. Great way to lose customers. Not impressed, it has gone downhill.

Not too busy. I felt welcomed by Vivian if I got the name correct. She was very helpful and fast-paced.
