Had a crown put in. For 1 1/2 years I asked the dentist to see why it was so painful. “Nothing wrong, we’ll keep watching it”. Finally switched dentists and first thing noticed was an ill-fitting crown. A few minutes of filing and no more problem. Add insult to injury TWO YEARS LATER I was just notified that my account was sent to collections. I called Icon to ask what the $108 charge was for - no answer. Nice business practice Icon.
I switched to Icon Dental from my lifelong dentist because they were “in network” for my new company’s insurance. On my first visit, the hygienist took X-rays and measured my gums, proceeding to tell me that I have early onset gum disease and she recommended Periodontal Scaling treatment. With insurance coverage, she handed me a bill for $450, including a $40 gluten free mouthwash and other upsell items.
