Took my 3 dogs for grooming. Had heard that Lori, groomer, had been observed by some of my friends being ‘mean’ to dogs she was grooming. Owner not present at those times. Here is our response concerning Fritz’s specifically: Kirsten, we spoke with your vet and you to resolve this unfortunate issue for Fritz. A corneal laceration can be caused by many things including hair in the eyes, rubbing of face on clothing or bedding and chemical. Since Fritz was recently groomed we spoke with you about the possibility that some shampoo could have gotten in his eye. This can happen when they wiggle in the bath while rinsing. How were we given 8 cans of cat food back? Why were our cats not provided all of the food they were left with, and why do you continue to claim that you DID give them all of the food? We do have a very clear system that tracks all aspects of our business from first point of contact to departure and beyond. We personally spoke with each employee that worked with your cats and they all indicated giving the appropriate 1 can per cat per feeding (or 2 cans per day) and it was recorded as such along with the quantity they ate. In regards to their boarding services, Idlewire should make sure they are hiring staff that can read clear instructions and are dedicated to not starving animals in their care. I'm absolutely disgusted with the quality of service provided by this establishment. As someone who has worked with animals in multiple capacities over my professional career, the only excuses for how they treated our pets are either laziness, apathy or stupidity. Overpriced, dog stays all day, never ready at the time they say they’ll be, haircut isn’t the way you want it. Won’t groom older dogs that require more patience and work. I moved to someone that works out of her house and my dogs are way less stressed when I pick them up plus it takes less than 2 hours vs the 8 hours they spent here and half the price.

With Idlewire Pet Care, your pet gets one on one attention from start to finish with one of our experienced groomers. We do certainly allow pets to stay as long as their owners need. With our take out yards and ample outdoor space, this allows us to let them out for potty breaks. Our two dogs were neglected so badly that one died two days after we picked him up and the other he got a severe staph infection on his legs. The lack of concern they showed when they were contacted about the problems boggles me. They showed no empathy, remorse, or concern about what happened, my wife and I have been beside ourselves with grief. We left the state for 5 days and trusted our dogs to be cared for. When we picked them up they both had to have immediate medical care, and one dog didn’t make it.
