RecommendedHave eaten here twice so far. Empanadas are good and the rice and beans were really good. The only issue I had was I asked for a bit more rice and a little less beans( 1st time ordering this dish) . The counterperson was about to accomodate my request when a manager jumped in saying ..oh we don't do that ..everything is measured..and was a little abrupt about it. Absolutely love Island Empanada! We had the distinct pleasure of having them cater our wedding with their food truck and it was the best decision we’ve ever made. Roy, the owner and his wife are sweethearts! They personally came along with 2 helpers to serve at our party! Everyone was super attentive and kind. My guests ranted and raved about this truck! Traditional beef empanadas are the best. That and maduros also Shrimp empanadas too.
The guava cream cheese empanada changed my life for the better.
the food is so fresh and delicious. not greasy like other empanadas I have had in the past. highly recommend!
GET THE PERNIL. Their pork is AMAZING. They have other awesome empanadas, but after a few rounds, I realized that I LOVE the pernil more than any other, and stopped trying to top it. Add some rice & beans + some plantains and you’ve got a great meal.
