I bought a 20x30 2 story with porch…. I had to buy all the metal for main roof and porch…only a few sheet of metal were enclosed. There were many many pieces missing. Many large pieces were split and unusable. Many pieces were marked and uncut. We spent hundreds of hours replacing missing and unusable pieces. 0/5 stars Ordered a 2x4 Garbage bin on June 28 and on July 26 received the wrong panels to build it. Contacted customer service on July 26 and then waited until August 3 to receive correct panels. The "correct" panels they sent me were still missing a piece. I alerted them to this on August 4th. In the AM August 5th I was told they would "overnight the panel" to me. It is PM 8/6/2021 and tracking shows that UPS has still not received the panel.
This company doesn't hire married couples to work together. My husband and I applied in Fall in 2019 and we were told that they would hire one of us ( they didn't seem to care which one?) but not both. We were told it was their company policy not to hire married couples. I just tried to post in good faith my experience on their YouTube channel and asked for a link to this policy on their company website and I was blocked and silenced. NOT A FAMILY FRIENDLY COMPANY. At this moment Jamaica cottage shop has been the worst experience I’ve ever had as a consumer. We are actually at a junction now where we are being forced to seek legal action against Jamaica for the unethical and horrendous treatment we’ve endured. From ownership down they really don’t care. Missing parts, incomplete directions, wrong materials. They “feel your frustration “ but do nothing to correct the problem. Words only. I would not recommend. Don Rech
