Both of my children have seen Dr. Melton since they were born - 17 years in December. I can’t say enough about how great he has been over that time. He’s seen us when we had a lapse in insurance after a job change many years ago, he’s returned calls while trick or treating with his kids when I had a sick baby on her first Halloween. He’s amazing and we love him dearly.
Dr. Melton is the best pediatrician. He is so knowledgeable and very thorough. He has literally been a lifesaver to my family. Nurse Heather is nice, very helpful, and always quick to return calls.

We have been going to Dr. Melton for over 15 years now-he’s the BEST! We even continue to make the trip after we moved from BR to the Opelousas area. He is very thorough and caring. His nurse, Heather, is also amazing! They make an awesome healthcare team and are totally worth the drive!
Dr. Melton is a fantastic pediatrician . I have no doubt that he cares deeply about the well being of all of his sweet babies and children. He is very attentive and listens to any concerns I may have regarding my daughter’s health and development. Furthermore, he has the best nurse in Mrs. Heather. If you are a new mom, like myself, and are looking for a knowledgeable and experienced pediatrician to see for your baby’s health, Dr. Melton is the pediatrician for you.

Dr. Jamar Melton is a very knowledgeable, kind, compassionate doctor. My daughter has a lot of health conditions, some of which are rare. We consider he and his staff a blessing. Lucky for the children of Baton Rouge and the surrounding area , including our daughter, to have such a great doctor & team.
