best valve there is there's no substitute for the jandy. my old one cracked in a fast freeze last fall, after 15 years. pretty easy to install if you're ok with pvc pipe installation. be sure not to get any cement on the moving parts inside!
Don't use anything besides Jandy for your pool Standard PVC valves are usually not full port and are not rebuildable, so if they leak you will be cutting and gluing more PVC. These valves will last forever since you can replace all the guts and seals. The price is pretty good too. I broke the lock stem on the handle and Jandy send me a new one without much hassle. Genuine Jandy Part Genuine Jandy part. Used the guts to replace guts and valve handle on existing Jandy valve. Was a much easier and less expensive fix than buying parts or replacing the whole valve.
