Great Pool Heater I installed it myself. No problems. Using a Jandy pool controller so the RS485 4-wire connection was simple. We had a 3 inch gas line run from the street. 400,000 BTU is a lot of heat. Needs a large supply. Installed a pressure regulator right on the heater to avoid any pressure drop issues. Fired right up. Display shows controlled by Jandy Pool Controller, as it should. Not a leak. Puts out lots of heat. I bought the Cupro Nickel version. Cost a few bucks more, but should run for at least 15 years I hope. ... read more
I couldn’t be happier with this heater I replaced my old Rust pac “Ray-pac” heater with a new Jandy400N and I couldn’t be happier with this heater. It is so much more efficient. The footprint seems to be half the size of my old heater it’s amazing. It heats my spa up in no time at all.
JANDY WORST INVESTMENT WE MADE FOR OUR POOL PURCHASED X2 IN 5 MONTHS. BOTH FAILED AND JANDY REFUSE TO STAND BY THEIR PRODUCT.
Broke in Two Months We purchased this heater after the heater we had for 17 years finally went. The pool heater was purchased in June 2018 and in August just 2 months later the heater stopped working and water was leaking out of it. Contacted the company and was told that parts were under warranty but not labor. Finally spoke to another person that said they would send out a service manager. He came and told us that because the PH was low in the pool it ruined the heater. Nothing now was under warranty! He said it would cost... read more
FAULTY MANUFACTURING I bought this unit to replace a spa heater that was 20+ years old. I expected that I would enjoy a similar experience with Jandy that I'd already had. Well, sadly, that was not the case. Once the new unit was delivered and installed by our pool company, we enjoyed a number of evenings in our spa. The weather got cold and we waited for spring to use the spa again. Spring time came and went. So did summer. Fall came and we fired up the spa heater... and nothing. Checked pilot. Works great Nice product, works perfectly. Had the gas connection hooked up professionally. Plumbing and electrical was not difficult. Smaller and quieter unit than my previous one. Also great job from shipping company. No damage to the container, no scratches on unit and courteous drivers. Recommend.
Love the jxi Just installed one of these heaters for a customer, I like them much better than master temp easier to work with. I did not buy from Amazon I get them cheaper, for now on I would only install the jxi400
