Our only issues came with communication with the appraisal process and not being able to move forward for a month from when we paid for the appraisal to close on the loan, and then having to wait even longer for an appeal, which we understand is not a problem with GoMortgage itself, but we were told multiple times we would have an answer by 6pm or 8 pm or midnight and this went on for several weeks. Through no fault of Jason, the appraisal was delayed which in turn delayed our closing. There did not seem to be enough information on who was doing the appraisal or consequences for missed deadlines.

Clear, concise outline of what the required documentation would be, and estimate of required due date for each in regards to closing. Was told I was unable to recast the mortgage, but would be able to apply any funds towards the loan before final home completion in order to reamortize the loan payments. Just before closing was told I wouldn’t be able to do so, and would have to refinance instead.
