I am a first time home buyer...better yet builder, but I had no clue how to finance it and Jerry and his Team helped me to be able to build my first home. They were great and kept me informed throughout the entire process. Jerry and his Team were also able to secure me an excellent lock in rate and got it lowered even more just before closing. After being told on several occasions that everything was good, wed get a subsequent email request for additional documentation for something we’d already provided. It wasn’t unpleasant just frustrating.

I wouldn’t say I had a great experience, but it was a good experience. Bank South helped me maximize my loan and get the most money to pay off extra costs from the house. The front desk staff was fantastic, they were very kind and helpful along the way. I was unhappy about the appraisal and the locked in interest rate. It felt like I was being listened to, but not heard when I had certain issues. It was the feeling like, “nothing is going to change here, that’s just the way it is.”

They were always very nice. I would have liked suggestions for cheaper interest rate but I suppose that’s not their job. The appraiser took too long to get to us, but that is also not on Southwest Mortgage. We were trying to close a little sooner but that didn’t happen either. All considering they did pretty good. I should have said excellent. But it just wasn’t quite excellent.
