My second time here! The food is good but not great! Went to share some apps with my parents after work…One standard sushi roll is $23, tasted like a $17 roll. Steak French dip sliders were nice, could’ve use more cheese & flavor, but the meat was cooked to perfection. Fried cauliflower was very nice and one of my favorites with a nice Asian spice . It was a great place to celebrate New Year’s Eve! Great drinks and fantastic food! It was nice they had a DJ made things 100 times better!

Joey’s continues to have good food but the atmosphere and people are horrible. Our actually server was a good guy but had no help to provide attentive service. The hostesses are plain rude and should all be replaced. How hard is it to smile and be genuinely nice to people you are supposed to be serving. Music kept getting louder and louder so you couldn’t speak across the table. Unfortunate for a place that should be fun with great service and food, just makes it hard to go back.

Been to Joey several times and the experience is consistently great - food and service. They paid attention to my table request and we had the perfect table with the perfect server. Our server, Jenny, couldn't have been better and the pace and quality of food were terrific. We will be back!

Julia went out of her way to get us an excellent table. Zack over exceeded expectations delivering high quality service with customer service excellence. He went out of his way to ensure that we had a meaningful and memorable first experience at Joey Newport Beach. I would recommend he and Julia for any guest who chooses to dine at this establishment Maintaining authenticity while serving clients is an art when present, should be valued and commended.

Food was great. We were seated at a high top near the outdoor bar, which was surprising, as I made the reservation fairly early. We asked for a different table and were given a high top near the inside bar. There was no indication when I made the reservation that it would be a high top. Service was fine. The music was definitely too loud for dinner conversation. Perhaps if we had been in a booth, it would not have been so loud. I know for next time to call and clarify the type of table we are getting.

Disappointed in the service. Our service seemed to disappear for long periods of time. Then gave us the wrong check which we had to correct

Took forever to get water to the table, and get bottle of wine we ordered. Our waiter never brought extra sauce for sushi rolls. We were right by kitchen, way to crowded spot. Food is excellent.
