The yellow fin salad was great. We really enjoyed the wagyu beef  carpaccio the serving was huge had to take some home
We had reservations and the host said she would check me in when I got there 20 minutes early but she was serving champagne to someone else so I never saw her do it. We went to say something after 30 minutes PAST our time and then after we said something, our table was suddenly ready, so I’m pretty sure they forgot about us. First time at JOEY Newport Beach! They greeted us once we checked in. Offer champagne while we were waiting for seat in. All staffs are nice and friendly. Foods are wonderful. Definitely I will come again .
Our table was so noisy we could not have a conversation and the waitress could not hear us. We ordered two glasses of wine and she brought 4. Food was just mediocre with exorbitant prices. I have been here several times and each time it got progressively worse. I will not be returning.
