I have rented to own two cellos. One I rented for the full amount of time and I now own it. The other I rented for a while then didn't need it so I stopped. While I was renting the cello, two times something broke and John Violin Company fixed both for free. One time a peg broke off and another time some kids knocked a framed picture into the cello and it put a hole in the back of it. Even that was fixed for free! The shoulder rest was easily comparable to a model that is priced approximately $300 more. It is excellent craftsmanship, looks good and is very comfortable. Purchased it for my son, who has received compliments on it from his directors and fellow musicians. The shipping was timely, actually received a day earlier… plus, plus, plus.

The employees were very nice and personable. My violin received new strings and bow hair for my bow. Both were replaced properly and in addition they repaired my bow completely. 5 stars!
