Jumpstart did not help me lose weight. Basically, it is a Keto diet which I find too restrictive and not sustainable. I did not feel I received the accountability coaching that I needed to succeed. For the hefty monthly price, I expected more coaching and better results.

First half hour is $300. Then it's $100/week for 10 minute visits. The diet is based on the South Beach Diet. Read the book for $10. If losing weight is worth $600/hr, That's about the same price as a good lawyer - and as effective

I just sent an email terminating my JS services. As many of the people have said the staff are very nice in Los Gatos however I think it is overpriced for the service that is provided. It's called jumpstart MD however I have no evidence that an M.D. was involved in any of my services. The first day I brought in my own blood panel and EKG results from a current medical exam I had received from my primary care physician. Almost $400/mo for one weekly 15 min appt. They weigh you, ask how you're doing, ask if you've learned anything, and send you on your way. Very low carb, portion control. No help, just monitoring. really? No thanks

First of all, I must admit that the staff is very friendly, but other than that, this place is such a scam and totally UN-credible in my opinion! I had high hopes for my spouse considering it is "ran and founded by Stanford graduate MD's" but upon arrival, there was a NP and a Sports Psychology major who you deal with. Again, nice people but if someone is going to be paying hundreds to thousands of dollars for a weight loss program I expect highly credentialed people!! This review is not specifically for the Los Gatos center; it is related to the concept of JumpstartMD in general. My criteria is effectiveness of the method, how easy it is to follow, the price. The easiest criteria is the price - if you have $400/mo, you can do it. At the same time, you can go to a public library or Amazon and get all possible books you want to read about the way you should eat. It will be cheaper and you'll learn much more. Is it easy to follow? Not difficult, but checking "protein boxes" in a little book.... read more
