Very knowledgeable and fantastic bedside manners the whole staff would be an A Plus. She explained everything she was doing had me in and out of there in no time at all for a biopsy.
Dr. Kort did my thyroidectomy. The scar is barely noticeable now and it was a good thing I did it because they found cancer cells upon testing it when it was out. She encouraged me to get the surgery and it is a good thing I did!
I would give Dr. Kort 1 1/2 stars for bedside manner. I agree with the reviewers who call her arrogant, condescending and flippant. I even think she mocked me during my last visit. I have had an ongoing problem, but it has not required surgery, yet. She clearly has to see a lot of patients, so is always in a rush, and does not take the time to answer questions, or explain things. Dr. Kara Kort is wonderful! The staff at her office is wonderful! If I call with an issue they get me in as soon as possible and take my concerns seriously. I would recommend Dr. Kara Kort and her practice to anyone faced with surgical needs. She is the best!!
The ONLY surgeon for breast cancer, in my opinion. Negative reviews should be ignored, as you will always find those, too. She did my bilateral mastectomies, and her compassion is astounding. Have referred several friends and now my own mother without hesitation. Competence and knowledge are outstanding. She was the first step in my cancer treatment and set me up for success for the remainder of cancer care. Eternally grateful to Dr. Kort, Jen, and staff.

On May 5, 2017 Dr Kort performed a thyroidectomy on me due to Papillary Thyroid cancer. Everything went well considering that my thyroid was as large as a softball. Dr Kort not only has helped me but she also takes care of my youngest daughter and her thyroid. I like her positive no nonsense attitude. Dr Kort has confidence and is far above the expertise level for surgeries done. Dr Kort faces the issues, finds a solution, and gets the job done.
My mother came to Dr Kort in January of this year. My sister and I came with her and we were impressed with both Dr Kort and her staff. Not only were they professional, but they were very patient and compassionate in dealing with us. My mother was very nervous and wanted to leave for Florida as soon as she could. Dr Kort and her staff expedited all of the tests and treatment for my mother and were wonderful. Dr Kort and her staff are amazing, we highly recommend them!! ***** star rating!
I would highly recommend Dr. Kara Kort. After receiving my breast cancer diagnosis I was devastated. After meeting with Dr. Kort I was assured that I was going to be ok. She reviewed all of my treatment options with me, and she made herself readily available to my family for questions as well. I feel I had the best team of doctors available to me in the Northeast. I underwent a bilateral mastectomy, and in all honesty I look better today than I did pre-surgery! Her staff is great too!
