Very disappointing experience!!!! I'm on Keto (no carbs), and while the server was nice about it, she said that Keke's didn't allow substitutions, I would have to pay additional to swap out the toast and potatoes for fruit, etc. I've been to the Breakfast Company, Another Broken Egg Café, Skillets, The Granery, to name a few in the same Lakewood Ranch area, and NOT ONE of these restaurants had any up charge!!!!! I won't be back, nor will I recommend this place, until they change this money-grabbing policy!!!!
One of our family's favorite breakfast spots. Food and service is usually on point. Last visit this weekend we had a horrible waitress that didn't even bother to refill our coffee or water and didn't even bother to ask if we wanted refills. I don't think I ever didn't have my coffee refilled anywhere ever in my life. A waitress like this can cripple your business. Months of this Kekes not fixing their phone number. Would really love to get breakfast and not have to physically go in to place a pick up order (and then wait 50 mins for my to go order). Total flaw in their business. What business doesn't fix their phone number lol. The management used to be so awesome and kind and today I had such a miserable experience. Older white woman (didn't catch her name) was RUDE and is not fit to manage a restaurant. Corporate PLEASE help this location it used to be so awesome
The presentation is very nice,BUT I am gluten free and get so discouraged when a restaurant does not have a gluten free menu and at least gf toast. It is so easy to keep it frozen and toast as needed. Because of that I will not be back.
2nd visit today and was disappointed with the service. Took 45 mins to be seated after she didn't write our name down on the waitlist, others coming after us getting seated before us made me ask her why we hadn't been seated, she said she saw us but didn't think to ask us our name! Once seated it then took 10 mins to get a drink! Great food which is why I give it 2 stars but I won't be back in a hurry.
So it was my favorite restaurant in Tampa. Moved to Lakewood Ranch and was delighted to find it. Every single time pre - Covid kitchen/service was exceeding slow. Management of the place appears to be absent leaving a nice crew but with no leadership - leading to slow service and poor outcomes. Sad.
We tried the first Keke's on Honoree when they first opened; the worst service and never went back. Decided to give the one on State Road 70 a chance. Ordered our drinks and waited and waited to place order after asking waitress to take our order twice. Paid for our drinks and left...never to return I prefer to give it a 0 rating
My wife and I had stopped to have breakfast on Wednesday morning. Our waiter was David. When my wife placed her order she had specifically told him that she wanted 1 poached egg, an English muffin, Canadian bacon and fruit with no strawberries. He kept asking her if she wanted a waffle or some pancakes, etc. It was like he was trying to push other items for her to order. Visited Keke"s for the first time Sunday with a friend. While waiting to be seated which took, about 25 minutes, we noticed several tables that were not cleaned and just one bus boy with no urgency. Two gals at the front to seat people but totally ignoring the empty Tables that needed to be clean. Was disappointed with service. Example asked for lemon with water had to ask two more times for the lemon. They bring out French toast and no maple syrup.
