Our family dog broke her lead and was hit by a car. After placing her in the vehicle and arriving 20 minutes after hours I encountered a vet/tech in the parking lot. I explained I had an emergency and our dog had been hit. After looking at me & seeing our pet in the back, I was dismissed with “You’ll have to try Evansville.” Our pet didn’t have 50 more minutes, she died about 15 minutes later while we were scrambling to find her care but apparently there was none to be found.

I have wasted over 40 years bring my pets to a clinic that will not come in on Sunday to assist my dogs over the rainbow bridge. Never again will I bring one of my pets to this heartless place. Shadow has been coming to this place for nearly 14 years and when he needs you the most you can’t be bothered. My advice to anyone looking for a vet, keep looking, this is not a caring place.
People question us all the time why we still drive back to Paducah to see our vet. Well it’s because they are our vet and we TRUST them. We have tried 4 different ones around here and we just can’t find the service and knowledge that we receive with Lone Oak Animal Clinic. Dr. Dunaway has refused treatment for my rabbit Lepus...playing God and in her own personal opinion has decided his life is over. Nine refill left for his arthritis he has had for years. She has refused, as a professional to help animals who need treatment. Not the first time this has happened. I asked her to examine him..refused to even take him out of his carrier. I've taken all of my dogs over the years and never had issues untill now. I took my dog to be groomed and they called said he was ready for pick up. Good thing I went as soon as they called because when we arrived the tech brought out my collie and when she laid him in our seat she noticed he had blood all over his stomach and paw. She took him back in and had to get the toenail [that was cut to short] to stop bleeding it took about her a little bit .
