We were very excited about the opening, thinking it would be a great place, but we were hugely disappointed when we actually visited. It was unbearably hot, and the facility lacked proper safety measures. My wife went down the slide with our young daughter; the material was in terrible condition, and she ended up injuring her back and both elbows. When she went to report the injury, the staff simply nodded and said, "She must have gotten hurt on the slide"--implying they already knew it wasn't safe for children--yet they did... read more
Not for us. It's mainly a play structure and huge seating space. HVAC system clearly not effective, this place is upstairs and extra hot in the play structure. A dad went down the kart slide, almost crashed himself, his kid and us. Zero leadership presence, there were only 2 staff members and they are still learning the system. 20 min check in process on a weekday.
If you're on the fence about coming here, read both the positive and negative reviews. You'll notice some obvious contradictions, especially regarding the staffing and the A/C. Unless they've replaced their HVAC system, it is not cool inside. A handheld fan would honestly do a better job. More concerning is the poor air circulation, especially in a place full of children. It also feels like more effort is being put into burying negative reviews than fixing the issues causing them. Good businesses improve the customer exper... read more
I took my four year old and six year old there last week. It was very hot and there was a serious lack of supervision around the play area. They have three activities that could be dangerous without staff monitoring. The cars, the sled and the rope tower. My four year old fell through the rope tower and broke her clavicle. We will not be back.
I really wanted to love this place and was happy to pay for an indoor playground to escape the summer heat. Unfortunately, it was just as warm inside as it was outside, which made it hard to enjoy our visit. For the price, I expected a cool, comfortable environment where the kids could play without overheating. I had high hopes for this new indoor play space, but it ended up feeling too hot to be worth the cost. Honestly, I'd rather take my kids to an outdoor playground where at least there's a breeze. I hope they improve t... read more
I was really excited for Kids Empire Costa Mesa to open and had high hopes, but unfortunately our experience during the soft opening was disappointing. The biggest issue was the lack of transparency. There were no signs displaying admission prices, memberships, or pass options, and the staff wasn't very helpful in explaining them. After purchasing three summer passes, we learned the 10-visit pass would have been a much better fit. I immediately asked the manager if we could simply upgrade, offered to pay the difference, and... read more
I took my daughter yesterday. The biggest issue was that the A/C didn't seem to be working. It was extremely hot inside, and you could see that many of the kids had red, sweaty cheeks. Another concern was the restroom. The floor was covered in water, creating a safety hazard, especially since shoes aren't allowed inside the play area. There were also no slippers available to wear into the restroom, so everyone had to walk through the wet floor in socks. The play area itself was okay, but the lack of air conditioning and th... read more
My 2-year-old had a great time, but as a parent I wasn't impressed. The AC was TERRIBLE it was hot and muggy, and even the air blowing through the older kids play structure felt warm. My biggest concern was the toddler/diaper-only area. It was full of much older kids, which made it feel unsafe for toddlers. Staff needs to do a better job enforcing the age restrictions, and there was not any staff supervision. It's only been about a week since they opened, and some of the equipment is already damaged, which was disappointin... read more
It was ok has 3 slides overall basic compared to the indoor playgrounds in the area for the same price also the place needs to have a/c in a hot summer day.
