I decided I needed to review Kindred after having a long and intimate experience there as the daily bedside caregiver for my dad. He left kindred a couple months ago and was there for about a month after a stay in the ICU (full frontal collision on a motorcycle, big recovery, lots of brain damage). I WANT EVERYONE TO KNOW WHAT THIS LITTLE HOSPITAL TUCKED AWAY IN CWE DONE FOR ME!! In the summer of 2024, my mom developed flu like symptoms on a Monday. We lived almost an hour and a half apart, so over the phone I told her what she needed to do to beat the cold faster. This is a horrible place that only a couple employees care about their patients. My Dad was on the 2nd floor and the only staff that cared were Gabrielle, Ms. Rose and Jenn. They let him lay miserable struggling to breathe and only paid attention when I went in and complained. Don’t take your loved one here, the positive reviews are lies! My Dad would still be here if it wasn’t for the heartless staff that was supposed to care for him!

A LOVING, KIND FAMILY ATMOSPHERE. My experience at Kindred Hospital was phenomenal overall. The food is fresh, a nice surprise for a hospital, especially when your stay is on the longer side. The nurses are personable. The wound care is great, I had many injuries still needing tending to day and night when I first got there, and they were more than able to do the wound care efficiently but also kept u with remembering the wound care as it changed and slowly diminished over the course of my visit. If you want your loved one neglected this is the place to go. No one entering the room for hours, having to ask repeatedly for patient hygiene, and enabling one set back after another, including a fistula and feeding tube dislodged, social worker not answering the phone, hospital itself not answering the phone, allowing a non-employee to suction a trach and tellIf I could post with no stars at all, I would.
