We stopped in the general store and the man in there was very blah. He didn't have much information or personality. We also called to find out about boat rentals and the brochure we grabbed was was misleading on prices. The woman who answered the phone " on speaker" with much echo and background noice also was lacking in the friendly department. We were not impressed with the staff at all. So probably will not be renting or staying there. Shame cause it's a pretty peaceful area.

I have stayed at this resort many times over the past 20 years. Last week I was staying elsewhere on Silver Lake and Kit Carson Lodge was hosting a wedding. The noise could be heard half way across the lake. Booming music & loud toasts until 10pm. People in the campground next door as well as private cabins were none too pleased.

We were camping in the area, and had breakfast at the lodge, it was amazing. The views are like being in the Swiss alps, rare! Our waiter George is full of interesting facts, just ask. See you next time! And the food is delicious…

Great location with swimming, canoeing and hiking. The facilities are a bit run down but the new owners are committed to making improvements. The staff tries really hard as well. The restaurant is good with a tasty, albeit limited, menu.

This place was unexpectedly clean. The restroom was very clean, the only thing I was not satisfied about was that the restroom didn't have water to wash your hands. I just walked to the river and washed my hands. The beach was beautiful and clean. The parking was only$5, but you can park along the road and it's free. Fun walk to pot holes.
