RecommendedI have fought an intense dentophobia since childhood. Now, I drive from Richmond to see Dr. Smith and the excellent staff at Konikoff. They are the only dentistry with the professionalism and patience to earn my lasting trust. I was never judged, and my self-conscious fears were met with compassion and understanding. I wasn't there to atone for my dental sins; they helped me feel like part of a team working toward the same goal. 11/10. Not one regret. I'd pay double for this smile.
Everyone is friendly, courteous, and handles their job professionally. Dr. Konikoff is a good singer, knowledgable and really does a great job on my teeth!

Konikoff is the best dental office! Everyone is extremely professional and accommodating, not to mention the downtown Norfolk office is clean and modern. I’ve had three different dentists and each one was open, honest and very easy to communicate with. I no longer live in state, but I wish I were still able to be a patient here.
Jim and I moved to the Harrisonburg area (Broadway) 19 years ago but we still faithfully drive back to Norfolk for our dental check-ups with Dr. Konikoff every six months . . . over 225 miles each way! We like his personality, his knowledge, and his skill! Unlike some dentists I've seen in the past, I'm never nervous about going to the dentist anymore!

Dr. Dodge and his assistant were amazing. However I will not return to the office. I went into the office thinking i needed a filling. I was given 2 different options for care: a filling or a crown. After they ran my insurance I was told my out of pocket would be $40 for filling and $474 for crown. I paid half for the crown at the end of my first visit. I chose the crown because that amount was in my budget. Yesterday after getting my permanent crown they did the final xray because insurance required it for the claim. When I... read more
I'm currently in excruciating pain and in need of a root canal due to a filling being drilled too close to a nerve. I've been referred out to an endodontist who won't see me in an emergent situation because I'm not their patient and no one from the practice (Konikoff) is willing to perform the root canal either. Upon speaking with a dentist from this practice via the emergency line, they won't see me and I must wait until Monday to see the endodontist.
