About Krispy Kreme Doughnuts Krispy Kreme was started by a gentleman name Vernon Ruldoph back in 1937. He bought a secret yeast-raised doughnut recipe from a New Orleans French chef, rented a building in Winston-Salem, NC and began selling doughnuts to local grocery stores. Fast forward 64 years and that is when we opened our first location in the Pacific Northwest. Issaquah, WA officially opened for business on October 30th, 2001 and we subsequently opened nine other locations after that.

I always try to stop in here when in the area. Fun to watch the process behind the glass, from proofing to finish, watch the super efficient process, its really satisfying. Super friendly staff, keep it fresh and clean, always keeping busy. Pretty good selection of special donuts, or stick with the traditional that made them famous. Classic Krispy Kreme, the only one in BC! Located in North Delta, if you are in the area definitely stop! The staff was super friendly and getting to watch the doughnuts be made is fun for adults and kids. They have a bunch of different options for doughnuts, coffees and iced drinks.

We drove from Richmond to Delta just to buy a dozen original glazed donuts from Krispy Kreme. The staff smiled at customers and also recommended the original glazed to us. The fundraising events at my former school always ordered Krispy Kreme’s original glazed donuts from this store. It was just as good as I remembered.
