I love LaLaLand cafe and their drinks and food are always great. They have a covered parking garage and they will validate your parking. The parking is inconvenient when you are only stopping in the Montrose Collective for a coffee or matcha. I love the matcha strawberry fields and the banana chocolate chia seed pudding. I will say it a bit expensive but worth the aesthetic.
Came on a Wednesday morning, place was packed, no where to sit. The couch in the middle is so dirty, decided to dodge that. They do have some seating outdoors but it was wet from the rain. I ordered a matcha lavender bloom with almond milk and a lala avocado toast. Both were mediocre but especially the toast. Just tasted like avocado with some flakes, not impressed and not worth $9. The latte was also just okay, cannot really set it apart from others I have tried.
She's chic, she's kind, she's addictive! Went to lala land for the first time and beelined to this location to see the infamous yellow truck. Whenever we arrived there was a decent amount of people here but the line moved fast. Service was good, coffee was great, but matcha lacked flavor. Overall, I would come again ! (Also the star of the show has to be the heart shaped straws and the sweet cream top)
Perfect la la latte IT IS! I am a coffee connoisseur! I abs loves to try out the different shops around Houston an other cities. Whoa La La Land, what did you put inside my cup?? Pretty sure it's a scoop of magic! Wow! The flavor and the texture is unbelievable! It's a bit on the pricey side. This what appears to be 12oz, was $7.47 (with up charge for almond milk). Their la la matcha was delicious. Cute decor, but they can return their astronomical prices to the real La La land in CA.
Continuing my journey on trying to find the best Matcha places in Houston & was recommended La La Land! I was immediately intrigued once I walked in & was greeted with a modernized coffe shop. The baristas are very friendly & get your drinks out quickly even during busy hours. This feels like a fast past environment, located near several shops, restaurants & parks. Came in to kill time with a friend this afternoon. Drinks were good and service was prompt. Their menu has a variety of coffee drinks, matcha, coolers, and teas. They also have toasts and pastries which I'd like to try next time. Giving only three stars due to the limited indoor seating which seems pretty necessary for a Houston based shop, and they have the space.
I love coming to this location! Food & drinks are always good & also it's always clean! BUT I thought this place is supposed to be a " kind cafe " there's one African American employee who has braids who is ALWAYS rude. I once asked her a question & she answered with an attitude like if you don't like your job why are you working there. Then I went last weekend & she was arguing with a customer!!!! The area the cafe is in is very posh, with a nice trail just a little ways away. Perfect place to go after a quick run! The cafe itself is so cute! Just do not go on the weekend because it will be busy! The line moved fast but it took awhile to get our coffee. Was it worth the wait though? At least for my drink, yes.
