I had an amazing experience at La La Land Coffee in Calabasas! I tried the chai iced latte, and it was absolutely delicious--the flavors were so unique and perfectly balanced. It's definitely one of the best chai lattes I've ever had. The store itself is charming, with plenty of cute merchandise available for purchase, making it hard to leave without picking something up. I tried the matcha latte which was really good. It wasn't too sweet which I liked. I also tried the burrata avocado toast which was super good.
I ordered the pumpkin matcha and it was delicious! Staff was super friendly and my drink came out pretty quickly.
I've been twice. The first time I was by myself and I spoke to the cashier about the different flavors, levels of sweetness and places I've had matcha that I liked before. I wouldn't have come back because the drink was too expensive and just tasted like sweetener; no matcha or other flavor. I had friends visit from out of state and they insisted on trying it. Update to my post they were actually found to have rodents on site as well as graded a B for cleanliness
This place is somewhere I CONTINUOUSLY come get coffee to. Probably every day as I am 3 min away. NEVER AGAIN! I thought I'd get a cup of water since I couldn't get coffee, the guy with the hat and curly hair about kicked me out of the place and rudely told me they were closed (the girl outside told me it was ok to go in to get water since she sees me all the time). Mediocre drinks, dirty floors, and unsafe exposed wiring. Surprising to see such poor conditions at a café that should hold itself to a higher standard
The staff was nice, but my experience today was disappointing. While waiting in line, there were a lot of mosquitos, which made the wait uncomfortable. When I finally got to the front, I found out the kitchen wasn't serving food-- they were only serving drinks and pastries--because of issues. On top of that, the floors inside were very dirty. They don't accept cash as a form of payment. Strawberry Matcha is mid. You're pretty much paying for the name at this point. Overall it's better than the Starbucks for a "catch LA touristy" vibe but everyone has the "I'm better than you attitude" including the customers. That's the price you pay when you're in Calabasas unfortunately.
