+ I have stayed at the Allen TX La Quinta a few times now. It's close to my sister's house. Each time has been the same, Great! The check in goes quickly. The staff is friendly, my room is always clean and fresh. The AC/Heat always works, fridge, micro, and little baby coffee maker are super nice to have in the room. The continental breakfast, is what it is. I'm just down there for the coffee because the 1 pod in the room is never enough! I was given a key to an occupied room. This was after climbing to the third level after not being told their elevator was out. I didn’t feel comfortable there so I left. I have had good stays at other La Quinta’s.
The room is clean and well kept. There are no drawers to unload your suitcase. There are shelves. The fridge was very noisy. There was a hair dryer but it was broken. They didn't have a replacement for it. The location is okay. It was close to most things we needed. The breakfast was good. I liked it was available from 6 to 9. There is a walking path not far from the hotel that was very nice.
I fully understand they’re under construction but when booking at the high daily rate they fail to tell you the workout room is closed, the hot tub and pool are closed, the office area is closed. All the amenities you pay for are closed! The person on the 4th floor was doing who knows what until 3 am, the people of the 4th floor were loud and getting high. Not a really nice place. Absolutely no hot water and televisions lose "cable" each night at midnight. Hotel is under refurb. Breakfast is definitely lacking. Pool looks like a health hazard.
