Great value, clean , and convenient location There was nothing to dislike at the hotel but note the last train in to Austin is about 5PM and the last return from Austin is about 7PM. The buses may run later. Be sure to check the schedules if you plan to take public transportation to/from Austin. The location was good. Close enough to walk to the train/bus station to easily get into downtown Austin. Better value than the downtown Austin prices, which were very expensive right before SXSW opening weekend. Great pet friendly place! Parking was a little tough... I was pulling a trailer, as were a few others. Check in staff was fabulous. Hotel was clean and nice. Dog friendly and you'd never know it.

We love La Quinta and will definitely be back. For some reason we were provided with many bottles of hair conditioner but no bottles of shampoo. When we request shampoo, however, it was quickly provided with a smile from the housekeeping staff. The check in was easy and staff friendly and welcoming. The beds were comfortable and the free breakfast was varied and we LOVED the freshly baked cookies. Great location, close to my cousin’s house and to lots of shopping and restaurants Every day we were given two hair conditioners but no shampoo. Also there is a lot of traffic and it is not an area to easily walk and cross streets. The bed was comfortable and I appreciate the free breakfast and the freshly made cookies! Also, La Quinta is pet friendly, though we did not bring our dog this stay.
