Love this hotel!!! Great location, totally affordable, extremely clean with a friendly & always helpful staff. Comfy beds, nice fitness center and pool. Highly recommend.

I've stayed here a few times because it was affordable and convenient. But oh my gosh the smell of dogs is horrific. Especially in the hallways and stairwell. Floors are very filthy(hard and carpet) I have to dodge dogs in the elevator and hallways with my baby. We are simply not animal lovers. And in cases like this it feels as though the business caters to animals more than humans being comfortable. I remember one room we checked into the chair was covered in white dog hair. Had a horrible experience on Friday morning. Flew into Houston and didn't get in till almost 1 am due to flight delays. Booked a room on Priceline because I was too tired to drive to my destination. Upon arrival, I was greeted by what I presumed to be the front desk clerk who kindly informed me that I didn't have a reservation. I explained I just g5et into Houston and needed a room for me and the children so we could sleep and I booked on Priceline. Hey world! Why bother buying breakfast anywhere when you can get a FREE breakfast at this La Quinta! Best part is you don't even need to be a guest! Think I'm wrong? This morning several Mexican "construction workers" walked right into this La Quinta, right past the front desk clerk in plain view and helped themselves to breakfast. You know, the breakfast that guests PAY for because it is included in your stay. These guys are NOT construction workers. 2 floor caught on fire they didn't help us tell us nothing it was 4 in the morning the compensate me and my wife... We had to go to the emergency room for smoke inhalation and we still sick one month later. Didn't offer us no comfort we're extremely rude didn't offer a refund or some free days. The first day the TV and phone didn't work. The 2nd day the ac didn't work and the toilet was so dirty the manager had to come up and clean it.
