A positive stay. I would recommend this hotel. There was no mini-fridge in the room. Our room was across from the ice machine, and when people came to get ice in the evening or morning, they made quite a bit of noise. Furthermore, the room was at the back of the building, which was a positive in some ways because we had a view of the Empire State Building, but we faced the outside air conditioning units, so there was a constant hum, even when we turned off the air conditioning in our room. Very Good As for the downsides, it’s clear that the property is quite old. The lobby area is lovely and well-maintained, but the rooms themselves feel rather dated. Personally, I also find wall-to-wall carpet a disadvantage — although I understand it’s very common in the U.S. In general, the room was clean.
