I booked this hotel due to the price and proximity to where I needed to be (Cleveland Clinic and Sawmills Mall). Then I read the reviews and almost cancelled. Glad I didn't. Yes the hotel is older and the furniture and decor reflects this but it's a 3*** hotel and you get what you pay for. Contrary to some of the reviews found here, my room did NOT smell, the carpets were NOT damp and stained, I saw NO cockroaches, the king bed was clean and comfortable and I found NO mold in the bathroom or anywhere else. Let me start by saying we only paid $105 for the room. Some might find value at that price. The place needs to be torn down. Its dark, dingy and smelly. The carpeting in the rooms had holes in it. It was also wet around the AC unit. The sofa was stained with god knows what. The corners of each wall had huge chips. They have not spent a penny in upgrades since it was built. Beds were comfy and AC worked. Thats the only two good things I can say about it. Will not return
We had our doubts about this hotel, but it turned out very good. Gladys the lady at front desk was very knowledgeable, excellent skills on customer service and helpful. Room and bathroom were very clean, spacious, king bed was very comfortable. Hotel is close to Sawgrass mega mall but a little distant from FLL Airport. Definitely will come back.
We needed a hotel close to Cleveland Clinic and it was great for that . Initially we mistook it for its more upmarket sister hotel next door. Very good location - close to Sawgrass too. Pleasant staff. A minimal, very busy free breakfast but good to have the choice. Overall a pleasant stay. We would go back again.
We checked in around 11pm, and have been very disappointed. Hotel is very outdated. Rooms have hard beds and when we arrived to our room, our TV did not work. They did move us to another room, however the TV in that room was broken as well, and with it already being so late, we just decided to stick with it. We also paid for a "Lake View" room, only to be placed on the opposite of side of the build where what is supposed to be a "Lake" is actually a RETENTION Pond.
