I'm struggling to describe what we experienced at La Stella last night. It was our first visit; we'd heard rave reviews; and were very much looking forward to it. We booked an early meal (6:15pm) to enjoy a leisurely meal before heading across the street to the Winspear Opera House for a 8:00pm concert. It seems everyone else at the restraunt had done the same thing. And it seemed this took the restaurant completely by surprise. Hello David - this is ownership, you caught us on a rare evening when staff was short due to illness and vacations (easter weekend). Unfortunately it happened last minute and some diners suffered and didnt receive our typical service we are known for. Please accept my apologies, and happy the food was up to our standards. We went to La Stella for pre-Symphony dinner, our second visit. The restaurant appeared almost full at 5:45pm; thus, reservations are required on the weekends. Over all the service was excellent as was our server Ed. The branzino was beautifully cooked and the sauce was outstanding. My wife had the risotto and scallops, also beautifully prepared. We love it there. The food and drink are great!! The service is breathtaking. They want you to have a great time. The hospitality floors us every time. We understand they are opening another store up north. I hope that is as good as the one on Flora.
Excellent dining experience in the heart of the Dallas Arts District. Impeccable service by Jonathan, delicious food and great wine menu. The ambience was elevated with the live performance of Augustana. Walking distance to every performance venue in the district.
Fantastic Italian food, wine and cocktails. Wonderful date night venue.
