The service we received during our dinner at La Strada was outstanding! Our waiter and his helper were very attentive and dishes came out timely. I ordered the spaghetti Carbonara and the sauce was delicious but the pasta was undercooked even for being aldente. My husband ordered the ravioli and it was delicious. The house salad and breads were also very tasty. When I mentioned the undercooked pasta, the waiter responded by giving us a tiramisu dessert on the house. Came to try it out bc I had some resort credit during my most recent stay in Reno. It had pretty good reviews and I like Italian food every now and then so it made sense. Ordered a beer, server poured it so that it had a huge head on it. Surprising, but not a huge deal. I ordered a Caesar salad, and Osso bucco. The Caesar was fine, good, maybe slightly overdressed. La Strada was delicious food served in a beautiful atmosphere.
Our server was not very aware of the menu. He did not know serving etiquette. He was not attentive to our party. I had the baked ziti with the meatballs and salami. The pasta was good. But I was disappointed with the meatballs in the dish. The meatballs were the size ofa small marble and there were only 5 in my dish. DISAPPOINTED with a dish that had great potential. Bigger meatballs and more in the ziti dish.
