My wife and I have been dining at La Strada three or four times a year for the past 15 years or so. Although never a bad experience, sometimes the quality of food varied from very good to just OK. This time, the food from appetizer to dessert was excellent. Maybe with fewer diners, the kitchen was able to put more effort into the food. La Strada is now serving in the Prospector Club (formerly the steak house) in addition to the regular dining area. They are also using the walkway between the two for a handful of tables; not ... read more
Loud mouth group of Guys next to us. Waiter was more interested in picking up Chick at next Table. Food was so so definitely not gone best pasta as they claimed, sauce was very then and flavorless. Calamari was good. Bruschetta was burnt and served like that is not a good thing. Dessert Tarimisu not much coffee flavor just Average.
We traveled from S SF Bay to Reno specifically to visit La Strada again. It did not disappoint. The famous mushroom ravioli is outstanding, and so is everything else we've tried. We'll be back.
We were taken a little back by some of the clientele. We came dressed in business casual. There was also a wedding party that arrived which was nice to see. However the table next to us had sports hoodies, ripped jeans and tennis shoes on. I am not judging other people's attire, only that there isn't a stricter dress code for such a nice restaurant. That took away from the ambience of the restaurant. I think there should be a a dress code that requires a collared shirt and no jeans and tennis shoes. Just my opinion.
Michelle was fabulous. She did a great job of making suggestions and tempting us with specials, apps and desserts. The music was horrible for the majority. You folks are Italian... please go back to the classic ambiance that you have been. This “mix” of 50s diners and everyone now and then a classic, was off putting. I’m there to relax, have a nice meal.. and at an Italian restaurant, certain things are expected. What isn’t is the sound track that they play at the mel’s diner down the street. The mushroom ravioli- still the ... read more
Maitre’d Michael was friendly and welcoming. We were taken back into the main dining area with great table looking at the kitchen waiting for our party. Antonio was amazing, very attentive while giving us plenty of time to enjoy our drinks and conversation. Massimo and his chefs made great appetizers and our meals were fantastic. Antonio recommended an excellent wine that paired wonderfully with dinner. Great evening!!
This restaurant lived up to it's rating from the Food Network. It was amazing food, fantastic service, great wine list and a very, nice, quiet restaurant. We will go back every time we are there.
10 year anniversary. We loved that they sang to us for our anniversary. The food was delicious, service was excellent and wait time for food was perfect.
The service we received by our waiter could have been better. He was not very attentive. He seemed rushed. The waiter's assistant, Ricky, was very pleasant and attentive. The constant parade of people by our table to the tables in the back was annoying.
